Today’s haiku challenge:
My style is the five/seven/five syllable structure. Here are my five haiku poems:
protect the shadows
from my decaying shackles —
clinched with bated breath.
protect the shadows
as I emerge — butterflies
feed on rotting corpse.
protect the shadows —
fortification failing —
clandestine spy waits.
protect the shadows
for they can no longer feed
on my bleeding heart.
protect the shadows
like spiders to a window,
they seek a new home.
