Haiku Challenge for Jan. 22: ‘Hope’

Creative Commons photo.

Today’s haiku challenge:

My style is the five/seven/five syllable structure. Here are my five haiku poems:

hope circles the drain
entangled with the darkness
by the precipice.

hope floats down like a
leaf, landing upon my head
half-eaten by bugs.

hope came to me in
a dream, discontent and drunk
pining for old days.

hope directionless,
lost among myriad holes
digging itself out.

hope died yesterday.
was buried with a bouquet
of forget-me-nots.
