Poem: Rusted Nail

My latest original five-line poem.

Rusted Nail

the nail binding our hands together began to rust;
how something so corrosive makes not a sound,
or, how love dies in silence — the unsaid words;
and how the rusted nail made it harder to pull out;
after, we were left with what once were sacred holes.
