Haiku Challenge for Aug. 27: ‘Here’

Today’s haiku challenge:

My style is the five/seven/five syllable structure. Here are my 10 haiku poems:

when summer is here,
contrary to most, it’s more
like depression time.

when winter is here,
that’s where I find my solace
in the cold darkness.

when the spring is here,
it’s my WrestleMania
season, time of bliss.

when the fall is here,
my love of horror movies
a sanctioned season.

when Halloween’s here,
that’s the time to be a kid
again, no judgment.

when the bees are here,
sorry, that’s when I will run.
Don’t want to be stung.

when the lion’s here,
forget about trying to
run; it’s over, he wins.

be here now with me,
without that awkward tension,
but like how it was.

“here” is a weighty
word for you now, absence is
more comfortable.

here, in the hole I
sit, carved out just for me, and
my friend, nothingness.
