Today’s haiku challenge:
My style is the five/seven/five syllable structure. Here are my 10 haiku poems:
That was it, you said.
With it, an entire future.
fell upon my head.
That was it, you said.
With it, strangulation from
the past, until death.
That was it, you said.
With it, I became nomad,
drifting and drifting.
That was it, you said.
With it, I was drowning in
world without water.
That was it, you said.
With it, that is, without you.
shadow I can’t see.
That was the time of
our lives, some time ago, but
not anymore. Gone.
That was it, you said.
You, depression, taking all,
replacing with none.
That, all-consuming,
was anxiety, taking
taking, and taking.
That, the bee said, was
how I slipped off the petal,
and onto dew grass.
That, the bear said, was
how I got this honey on
my fur tail to snout.
