Today’s haiku challenge:
My style is the five/seven/five syllable structure. Here are my five (yes, I’m still doing five!) haiku poems:
pick me up, please, watch
as the depression drips from
me like I’m melting.
pick from my garden;
all of the flowers are dead
and smell of decay.
pick from a lineup:
depression, anxiety
inadequacy.
she picked my heart once;
it aged until bruised leather —
the bite marks still there.
I smother myself
in my musty dark curtains
for a pick-me-up.
