Haiku Challenge for Jan. 3: ‘Sleep’

Creative Commons photo.

Today’s haiku challenge:

My style is the five/seven/five syllable structure. Here are my 5 haiku poems.

serendipitous
encounter, blossoming love.
sleep away the loss.

sleep in a walking
coffin — colorful lining —
a few feet too short.

sleep at the bottom
of the ocean; mermaid dreams
until the shark comes.

insomnia love:
sleepwalking through memories
of us together.

sleep at the ravine.
sight seen of the precipice.
the drop is can’t-miss.
