Today’s haiku challenge:
My style is the five/seven/five syllable structure. Here are my five haiku poems:
they never told me
broken hearts drip quietly
when making puddles.
they never told me
she’d have a new guy quickly
sleeping in my bed.
they never told me
memories take prisoner
present brain constructs.
they never told me
living took such labored breaths
counting down the last.
they never told me
dying would be a reprieve
or so it deceives.
They never told me
When looking back at it all
I would have regrets.
