Haiku Challenge for March 3: ‘Catch’

Creative Commons photo.

Today’s haiku challenge:

My style is the five/seven/five syllable structure. Here are my five haiku poems:

I played catch with love
held it in my hands like a
fine powder seeping.

I played catch with love
missed the strikes coming my way
splinters in my hands.

I played catch with love
an asteroid came my way
extinction event.

I played catch with love
trading our barbs in darkness
both empty-handed.

I played catch with love
created a bloody path
from the heart drippings.
