Poem: How to Make Me Stew

Creative Commons photo.

My latest original five-line poem is actually inspired by a dish I recently had via HelloFresh, a delicious apricot, almond and chickpea tagine with zucchini, basmati rice, chermoula. More on that in a separate post soon!

How to Make Me Stew

Slice me up lengthwise; watch eternity ooze out.
There’s not much left, but give it to someone who
can make use of it. I’ve been stewing too long, like
a tagine left out in the Moroccan sun — even the
rats avoid my shadow.
