Poem: i, moon

A picture of the moon I took the other morning.

My latest five-line, original poem. (For those new and wondering, my use of the lowercase “i” is always intentional.)

i, moon

yesterday i coughed up the moon —
a sliver stuck in my gullet —
but the dark side went down
wrapping around my intestines
becoming me, and i it.
