Today’s haiku challenge:
My style is the five/seven/five syllable structure. Here are my 10 haiku poems:
ain’t no rest for the
wicked, they say, but I’ve been
napping peacefully.
rest my head on your
shoulder, a compartment made
for me for sale now.
I come to rest on
the shoulder of life, waiting
for the open ditch.
After sleeping, I
take a rest, then nap; living
exhausted, worn down.
rest my eyes behind
a curtain of pain, mothballs
like little grenades.
for the rest of my
life, I’m the gravedigger for
my own burial.
for the rest of my
life, I have the depression
monkey on my back.
for the rest of my
life, I rest until death comes
and I breathe again.
for the rest of my
life, add potential pins to
my chest through the heart.
for the rest of my
life, fight my shadows for me;
I’m too tired to now.
