Haiku Challenge for Nov. 20: ‘Open’

Creative Commons photo.

Today’s haiku challenge:

My style is the five/seven/five syllable structure. Here are my 10 haiku poems:

open my chest, see
for yourself; my heart still beats
for you, all alone.

open the chest there,
where I keep potential bound
collecting its dust.

open my skull, see
the shadows billowing out?
catch them in a jar.

I’m open to new
experiences, so long
as it’s from my bed.

open my secrets,
executioners of my
sanity piecemeal.

open the door to
past memories and drown there.
happy epitaph.

open letter from
my past self; the ink faded.
return to sender.

open depression
box: containing nothing but
longing, something else.

open for business!
selling death and despair at
premium prices.

open my remains
in the casket, and find me
smiling there for once.
