Haiku Challenge for March 10: ‘Matter’

Today’s haiku challenge:

Sorry, haiku fam. The last two days were the first haiku days I’ve missed since I started doing them daily on Aug. 2, 2020, believe it or not! But I’m back!

My style is the five/seven/five syllable structure. Here are my five haiku poems:

you matter the way
an organ transplant changes
another person.

you matter the way
caterpillars find new life
soaring through the air.

you matter the way
shadows do to depression
curtains of despair.

you matter the way
sweat does to anxiety
drowning you in it.

you matter the way
a body helps feed the worms
down there in the dirt.
