Today’s haiku challenge:
Incidentally, this is my first haiku poem in exactly a month since March 18. Whew!
This is actually a repeat prompt word from Sept. 18, 2020. You can read my first 10 haiku poems here. Admittedly, I really dig that “third rock from the sun” idea from the original version of this prompt, so I’m going to continue that here.
My style is the five/seven/five syllable structure. Here are my five haiku poems:
third rock from the sun
shivering snowcapped mountains
men falling down slopes.
third rock from the sun
insignificant humans
tingling with microbes.
third rock from the sun
depression clouds eclipse sun
deep frost setting in.
third rock from the sun
bellowing beyond the stars
nobody can hear.
third rock from the sun
blue die cast in the darkness
unable to spread.
