Haiku Challenge for Feb. 16: ‘Crush’

Creative Commons photo.

Today’s haiku challenge:

My style is the five/seven/five syllable structure. Here are my five haiku poems:

crush me like sawdust
sanding down my memories
presenting smooth death.

crush me like dry leaves
on a forgotten fall day
where clouds turn away.

crush me like light specks
impenetrable shadows
suffocation smile.

crush me like heartbeat
candies to be chewed upon
and then spit back out.

crush me like a rat
living in dumpster squalor
bleeding out all hope.
